Ohara 1-Day Ticket

A handy pass for a visit to the Ohara area, located in the once-secluded northern part of Kyoto.
During the Heian Period (794–1185), monks from Mt. Hiei came down and opened training dojos in Ohara, and many nobles came to Ohara as well to spend time in seclusion. Serene thatched rooftops remain a part of the mountainous village landscape dotted with famous temples such as Sanzen-in Temple, which is reminiscent of the Buddhist pure land, and Jakko-in Temple, which was one of the locations featured in the epic Tale of the Heike. Ohara is also famous for its autumn colors.
This pass also included special coupons that can be used at facilities in the Ohara area.
